About Us

History
We have been serving the truck industry since 1946 when Avery O. Thompson and his brother started Thompson Transfer, a truck company hauling livestock, rock, mail, etc.  They provided that service for 21 years in the Chamberlain Area.

In 1967 they sold out of the trucking business and plans & construction were started for a repair business with parts and service for truckers and others in need of repairs. 

Light wrecker service was provided until 1971 when a larger wrecker was put on the road for 24 hour towing and wrecker service.

Our Philosophy
We have found the business we are in is just like the hospital or health business.  It is a service that needs to be there every day of the week because when you have a major problem, professionals need to be there for you.  If your truck is unable to get to us, we have the equipment to tow your truck in.

We feel that companies in the towing business should be there for the customers.  We have seen many companies only operate at their convenience.  By having a large inventory of parts and a wide array of tow / wrecker / service trucks, we are there when you need us.
